Embracing the Divine
In autumn’s golden embrace, she appears,
Durga, the goddess, banisher of fears.
Draped in silks of vibrant hue,
With eyes that gleam, a radiant view.
Ten arms outstretched, weapons aglow,
She vanquishes demons, with each blow.
Her lion mount, majestic and fierce,
Symbolizes power, a force to pierce.
Amidst the pandals, lights ablaze,
Devotees gather, their voices raise.
The sound of dhak, rhythmic and pure,
Echoes through the night, a sacred allure.
Idols adorned, with care and grace,
A symbol of divinity, in this sacred space.
The fragrance of incense, flowers in the air,
Durga Puja’s magic, beyond compare.
From the ghats of the Ganges, to city streets,
A festival of joy, where devotion meets.
In her honor, we celebrate with cheer,
Durga Puja, a time to draw near.
As the idols submerge in the flowing tide,
A bittersweet farewell, as we confide,
In the goddess’s blessings, we believe,
Durga Puja, in our hearts, we’ll never leave.
